Bass / Guitar / Drums



An Alumni of Berklee College of Music, Have Performed across America professionally in many styles at the highest level (Jazz, Latin, Gospel, Pop, Gypsy, Funk). Has backed some of the most respected names in music (James Taylor, and his brother Livingston, John Blackwell (Prince) session work with Rodney Crowell (Nashville) ,Victor Mendoza.

John R.

Drums



John has been teaching the drums at Jam Music since we first opened in 2008. 

A seasoned pro in live and studio work John is a graduate of the renowned Ballyfermot Rockschool in Dublin and also holds a Grade 8 certificate in drums from Rockschool UK.

He has a wealth of experience teaching all aspects of drumming from the basics to advanced techniques in all styles. 

Matt

Cello / Violin / Piano



Matt Rafter has been teaching Piano, Cello and Violin for five years. Having recently completed a BA in Music from Trinity College, Dublin, he has played cello with various ensembles including Trinity Orchestra, Vltava String Quartet and Irish pop act Hozier. Matt also attends workshops on music pedagogy by the Kodaly Society of Ireland, which also allows him to pursue his other musical interest of orchestral conducting

Mark

Guitar / Theory



He has been teaching guitar for over 15 years around the Kildare area. In 2009, Mark gained a First Class Honours Degree in Jazz Guitar and Composition from the Waterford Institute of Technology. He has had considerable experience over the years playing various styles of music such as Gypsy Jazz, Jazz, Rock, Country and Fingerstyle Guitar. 

John B.

Guitar



Graduate of Ballyfermot Rock School in Dublin. Teaches many different styles on guitar and plays with local band Miracle Bell with co- worker John R. 

Padraig

Guitar / Ukulele



Having studied many different styles of music at Waterford Institute Of Technology, guitar teacher Padraig aims to bring a broad musical palette to his students education. His teaching style builds the students knowledge and understanding of music in a fun and natural way." - Roger Moore (Former James Bond)

Ross

Guitar



Playing since the age of 13. Ross offers techniques in rock and funk styles.

Stephen

Guitar



Playing from an early age Stephen specialises in techniques in funk, ambient, experimental styles, finger picking, solo and lead guitar. 

Piano



Susan graduated in 2012 from NUI Maynooth with a B.A. in Music and Nua-Ghaeilge. Currently completing her Masters in Musicology  in UCD. She has worked as an accompanist/performer for students, local choirs, charity events and musicals (also acting as a conductor) over the last eight years. She is entering her fifth year teaching in Jam Music School. She has taught beginners to Grade VIII with the RIAM syllabus, as well as teaching popular music. 

Susan
Eoghan

Guitar

 

Eoghan has been teaching guitar for several years and can offer tuition in rock, pop, funk and classical styles. He holds a B.A Honours degree in Applied Music from Dundalk Institute of Technology where he specialised in composition. Eoghan has also acquired City & Guilds certification in Sound Engineering and a Fetac level 6 certificate in Contemporary Music Performance from the Ballyfermot Rock School in Dublin. He performs regularly as front man and rhythm guitarist in the Dublin based band Pyramid Hill.

Leo

Piano



 

Graduate of Newpark Music Centre in Jazz Performance. Specialises in jazz, popular music, classical and keyboard.

Nora

Voice / Piano

 

Nora was awarded a First Class Honours BMus Degree and Masters in Composition from University College Cork

Teaching both in large groups and on a one to one basis has helped her develop an individual and creative approach to creating and teaching music. Nora loves working with students of various ages and abilities in a relaxed creative environment:

As a vocal coach focusing on breath control, diction and stage performance techniques. Teaching piano incorporating aspects of theory and harmony, rhythm studies, exam preparation and aural training.

 

Sive

Fiddle / Banjo





Sive is a primary school teacher with a very keen interest in Traditional Irish Music. 

She began playing the fiddle and tin-whistle when she was 8 years old. 

She has been teaching the fiddle, tin-whistle and the banjo, to children and adults of all ages and levels for 10 years around the Kildare / Carlow areas. 

Ronan

Guitar



 

Ronan has been playing guitar for over 15 years. during this time he has played Guitar , Bass and Drums in a wide variety of Bands covering all styles of music form Indie Electro Pop , Folk , Classic Rock , Progressive and Metal. A graduate of the renowned Ballyfermot Rockschool he has a wealth of experience and knowledge preforming Live and in the Studio. 

Erin

Voice / Piano / Strings



 

Erin graduated in 2013 from NUI Maynooth with a BA International in Music and German. 

She also completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Education at Trinity College Dublin and is currently undertaking an MA in vocal performance and musicology at Maynooth University. As a soprano and violist, Erin is a member of many ensembles such as the Maynooth Chamber Choir and the Vltava String Quartet with whom she has toured both at home and abroad. Erin teaches voice, piano and violin and is keen to instil her love for performance in all of her students along with developing technical skills and aural awareness at all levels.
